Kevin Slattery

Kevin Slattery’s philosophy in knife making is to create a piece of art in every piece – to not only look beautiful and feel great in the hand, but it also has to perform exceptionally well for it’s intended purpose.

Kevin has dedicated years of hard work to continually improve the fit and finish of his knives and is working towards becoming a Journeyman Smith through the American Bladesmith Society.

As a testament to the time and effort invested into his craft, Kevin has previously won “Best Utility Knife” at the Sydney Knife Show against some of the top makers in the country.

Kevin has been teaching knifemaking for many years through courses out of his forge, Kev’s Forge and is a regular instructor each year at the Australian Blade Symposium, sharing his knowledge and passion with others.

In 2019, Kevin will be presenting sessions on Introduction to Forging Blades* an Introduction to Stock Removal* at the Australian Blade Symposium in March.
